Creative Campaigns and Advocacies, Inc. is made up of individuals with decades of experience in culture and the arts, education, and stakeholder relations. Together, they bring their expertise in corporate communications, events management, training and publishing to assist clients in forwarding their advocacies. Members Alice "Peanuts" A. Pañares Alice.Panares@creative.advocacies.com Alice "Peanuts" A. Pañares is a committed educator, having taught at all levels in highly rated educational institutions: Ateneo de Manila University, Manila International School, Philippine Normal University, and University of the Philippines Diliman. When she was Executive Director of the National Council for Children's Television (NCCT), a policy determining and grant giving body attached to the Department of Education (DepEd), she initiated dialogue with stakeholders to develop national standards for children's television. She also developed policies and programs designed to increase awareness of television as a powerful tool for education and values formation. Prior to this, she was with DepEd as Deputy Director for the training teachers and administrators. She was also co-director of the National English Proficiency Program and coordinated programs on teaching Reading and English using face to face training and blended learning approaches, particularly in schools with low achievement scores in English. As President of the Philippine Art Educators Association (PAEA) and Program Director of the Cultural Awareness program of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), she developed programs to promote creativity in education, multiple intelligence approaches in teaching and arts-based reading approaches. Maricris Jan Tobias Maricris.Tobias@creative.advocacies.com Maricris Jan Tobias worked for the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IP Philippines) as consultant on intellectual property and public health from 2005-2007. She designed a program to promote access to affordable medicines through the flexibilities provided in the TRIPS Agreement. She also developed and implemented projects on intellectual property and public health, and coordinated with different public and private agencies and international organizations for policy and legislative reform. Prior to joining IP Philippines, she was involved in copyright advocacy work and public information at the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA). She has developed cultural publications and informational materials for UNESCO. She has also served as consultant to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Office of the General Counsel, on law and policy reform initiatives. Zeena.Panares@creative.advocacies.com Zeena A. Pañares is an educator and a graphic designer. As a graphic designer, she designed various print media for clients such as Johnson and Johnson, Wyeth, Motolite, Embarcadero Resorts, Misibis Travel and Tours, and Hallmark Philippines, Inc. Her work can also be found in the collateral and related marketing materials for Congo Grille restaurant, Deck Coffee, Inc., Gabay at Buhay Foundation, and the supplemental booklets and workbooks of the ABS-CBN Foundation Sineskwela project. As an educator, she organizes and conducts art workshops for clients such as the ABS-CBN Foundation, Museo Pambata, and the Greenhills Creative Child Center. She has developed a curriculum for the Grade One students of Hope Christian High School, as well as the art program for its third year high school students. As a web projects manager, she designs and maintains websites. She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines Manila, with a degree in BA Organizational Communications. | Ma. Preciosa Leaño Sibulo Precious.Leano@creative.advocacies.com Precious Leaño is a curator and cultural worker for two decades now. She has curated exhibitions at the country's premiere spaces including the Main Gallery of the Cultural Center of the Philippines and cultivates an extensive network of artists and art thinkers in Asia and the Pacific. She has put together art books of top artists BenCab and Anita Magsaysay-Ho and has collaborated on many exhibitions and projects with international artists and art organizations such as the Teacher Resource Materials for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee on Culture and Information. As a communicator, Precious has been at the forefront of corporate communication campaigns in the Philippines including the local launches of GE Money Bank and Yahoo! Philippines. Currently, she is consultant for the arts for the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, engaged in the organization of collecting societies for the different arts. Mae Astrid Tobias Astrid.Tobias@creative.advocacies.com Mae Astrid Tobias is a multi-awarded writer who has won, among others, the Palanca and the Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) awards. Her retelling of the Ifugao epic Hudhud, through her children’s books "Pumbakhayon" and "Halikpon" (published by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts), was a finalist in the 2006 National Book Awards for children’s literature and best book design. She is also an expert in children and media, having obtained her training from the Radio Netherlands Training Center in the Netherlands. She has extensive experience in media, having contributed to shows for ABS-CBN, GMA-7, and ABC-5. From 2003 to 2007, she served as Bureau Manager for the Kabataan News Network (KNN), a project of the Probe Foundation, Inc and UNICEF. to train young children in developing and producing their own children’s news show. She also served as writer to the educational children’s show, Eskuwela ng Bayan, Sirit and Batang Bibbo. She writes and produces corporate communications and audio-visual presentations and develops web content. She has also served as production assistant on Alak ng Bagong Tipan: Simbahan at Pagpapari, a documentary on Cardinal Sin’s contribution to the Church and priesthood. |
